Upgrading gear

Is it possible to buy gear (nonmagical) outside of a campaign? Like better armor or weapons if our character ends a session in a town or at like Federation HQ? I would like to have some better armor but I don’t want to hold up campaign time going shopping. :yes:

I’ve always had no issue with players just having PHB access to any non magical gear they need, I figure its easy to attain “off screen” in Sigil at the Federation HQ, or elsewhere. The only exception I really have is if the adventure I’m running is spanning multiple sessions, and you have no reasonable way to buy such things. But generally, I do think it’s better to just buy what supplies you need outside of the sessions and keep track on your character sheet.
